Happy Thanksgiving 2010!

Wow, where did whole year go?!  Thanksgiving has passed, and this means... it has been whole year since we had our very 1st duo concert in Paris... :)  It feels like just very recently... but in fact, it has been whole month!

Many many thanks to great duo partner, who is a great friend of mine... even though we live in two different continents... :)

Many many more exciting projects should be on our way!!!  I am so thankful...

Life is beautiful :)

Grand Merci!!<3

Happy Happy Birthday and Tour Wrap-up

Happy, happy birthday, Kana!!!!!!!!!! I wish that I was still in Columbus to celebrate, but I know it will be wonderful. I'm so lucky to share so many experiences with a great, true friend. Musical experiences, too! Thanks for being "Dual Reveries" with me!

After all the planning and practicing leading up to the tour, it's hard to believe that I'm already back in Madison. We had a truly phenomenal trip, and felt so lucky to share our music with so many people! I felt especially lucky to be able to give a recital in my hometown - it was wonderful to reconnect with so many people I hardly get to see anymore.

Our concerts in Columbus went especially well and we raised money for two special causes - Breast Cancer Research and Pakistani Flood Relief - with great success. It was wonderful to see our Columbus friends and family, and especially to spend time with our teacher.

We are so grateful to everyone who came to see our recitals, and who shared what they enjoyed about our music with us afterwards. It's an amazing feeling to know that your music touches someone, or that it creates an imagery, or some much needed release and relaxation. Because of these experiences, we'll continue to make music and share with as many people as we are able! Thank you all for coming to hear us and giving us so much motivation!

I miss Kana now that I'm back in Madison, but I know that it won't be too long before our next adventure. ;)

Hope to see you all soon!!
Morgann

P.S. There is audio up from the tour on my website in the "listen" section: www.morgannelycedavis.com. Check it out! :)

Thank YOU!

We are done with our tour... 6 concerts, 3 states in 2 weeks!!!  Oh boy.  Theses 2 weeks went by so fast.

We were so happy to shear our love of music to over 300people... :)  Thank you very much for everyone who came out to join us.  Thank you so much for everyone who hosted us in various locations.  Thank you so much for everyone...  We could not have done this without you all...
Everyone's smile and energy, they become our engine.  Reason why we can keep going... :)

This 2 weeks were learning expeirnce.
As an artist... there are no limit, which I love it so much.
Keep going forward.  Keep making projects... If one more person can find joy and smile in our music... we will be really happy...

Dual Reveries' summer 2010 was hot :)

I cannot say enough Merci for everyone!!!!!
Big kisses,
Kana

We love Pennsylvania

Time flies! We've already finished half of our concerts, and we've been together rehearsing and playing for more than a week already!

Things are going well so far on our tour, and all of our performances have been well received. We've been complimented on our energy and programming, as well as some things specific to certain pieces. We are still improving, but we're very happy with our program and it's been so much fun really making this music ours.

It is wonderful to be home in Pennsylvania right now. I've been looking forward to this recital since we started planning. The last time I played in Tyrone (or Pennsylvania for that matter!) was during my sophomore year of college! So much has changed since then, it will be great to see family and friends and share with them what I do!

So, we have one more day of preparation and then a great day to enjoy! Today, we have rehearsing to do, but also pedicures, Gardner's ice cream and shopping!

See you Wednesday night!

But not for long time :) As much as I am sad to leave the city, I am truly happy to go to America for more musical adventures!!! Summer of 2010 is a non-stop excitements!

I am so thankful for Morgann who has been taking care of bunch of things to get ready for our concerts in America! Without her... really, non of concerts were possible...!  Grand merci a toi, Morgann!!!

Here we go... 16hours trave ahead of me.  Before getting in Madison, WI.... Anaheim, CA!!!! I am excited to go to the annual flute convention, this time to perform :)  I wish in the near future, Dural Reveries can perform there too!! It will be our another short-term goal :)
